Within this fluid vision is the exhibition project Un mare di carta (A Sea of Paper), through which Valeria Manzi proposes an imaginary sea voyage with no instruments on board and no islands or lands to reach. At the centre of the exhibition event is the total perceptive dimension given by the crossing and mobility of the seas, the resetting of land coordinates to the evocation of the transformations and sedimentations of the natural world.
Valeria Manzi, using a specific combination of graphic arts and poetry, suggests to the observer a confrontation with the dimension of the limit and its relativity, in which the dividing line between the natural elements, spatial and perceptive conceptions are affirmed as an indefinable threshold: the continuous movement and infinite aspects of water open up new perceptions.
