Corso San Gottardo No.14
In 1995, Atelier 14 officially opened at Corso San Gottardo No. 14, a space dedicated to research for original art printmaking open to experimentation and contamination with other artistic disciplines.
It is the result of a series of collaborations undertaken since 1992, experiences that would become the basis of the future atelier, initially started by a group that includes, in addition to Daniela Lorenzi, Mascia Manunza, Isabella Ferrarin, Massimo Petringa and Andrea Pol.
The logo is in fact a tribute to
Atelier 17 of Stanley William Hayter historic Parisian atelier and refers to the house number. It visually takes up the pre-Columbian symbol for the number 14, where the ten and the four units are represented by dots and separated by a vertical sign, symbolically recalling the five components of the studio.
Within a few years, different invidual choices resulted in the natural disbandment of the group.
Atelier 14, in the figure of Daniela Lorenzi, thus began a more specific production of printing and publishing of editions and artist's books, thanks also to the frequentation of Italian and foreign artists.
Important was the contribution of Barbara Rizzo, who joined Daniela Lorenzi in the printing and assisting activity for more than seven years.
During these years part of the activity is dedicated to teaching and dissemination. With the support of private Galleries and Institutions, Daniela Lorenzi also personally follows the implementation of exhibition events, meetings, specific workshops.
